First post, first question

This is my first post here. Have been on the “Yellow” forum a few times. I shoot mainly Mini Sniping but am looking around for a small game/ pest rifle. Like the looks of and what I have heard about the Talon/ SS. Now the question. What, other than barrel length and shrouding, are the differences, if any, between the Talon with 18″ barrel and the Talon SS with 12″ barrel? Right now, I tend to favor the 18″ barrel, possibly with a home made shroud.
