favorite Pellet for your .22 talon SS ??
I have mine adjusted for 810 fps with jsb diabolo exacts 15.9 grain, which puts beeman kodiak 21 grain out at about 740 fps. accuracy is good with both, anybody care to share favorite pellet and settings, mine is at 9-11 for this output on the indicator-wheel. 9 on the scale, 11 on the wheel.

I can’t get Crosman Premiers to shoot very well in any gun I own, but the JSB Exacts group well in all of them….

My SS 12″ gets fed Crowmagums for close range yardwork under 20y, and more than that baracuda, i have to stay in the heavyweight group of pellets since my SS valve is tuned to about 32 fpe with CM and 33 with baracuda…..36 fpe with EJ and 37 fpe with piledrivers
my SS with 20+” .25 barrel i feed 42 grain pointed EJ…good for cats…hogs…squirrels….very accurate
when my SS was stock i used JSB, real accurate !
Crosman Premiers (14.3gr) with the PW set on about 5. We get over 800 fps, great accuracy and about 40 or so shots before having to refill.
I have shot a great many pellets through these Talons and all seem to obtain the best groups with the Premiers. The Kodiaks were a close 2nd and I acutally prefer those in my Condors.

Well I only shot it over a chrony when I had 2500psi and it was shooting CP’s at 920fps. When filled to 3000psi of course it would be more. All I know is on a full fill we were whacking pinecones at 120 yds with ease. Only 2 mil dots down on 6x.
Adam, I dont remember if you posted this but what kind of power boost did you get from just adding the barrel with no other adjustments?
When my Talon SS had the 12″ barrel and stock valve it would shoot CP’s at 855 on 3-11 and Kodiaks at 755 at the same setting.
Now it sports a Talon Tunes custom 16″ LW polygon barrel and a modified valve and sadly the 12″ barrel is retired.

I have been converted to CP for the second time. Both my guns shoot them great. Did the JSB and Beeman field target and ended back at CP and they shot just like the JSB and BFTS. I love kodiaks also and have about 25 tins left…lol
