See if you can smack a Starling or Crow and post a pic 😈 good luck to the new gun and looking forward to a shooting report soon!
You guys shooting pure leads from http://www.customcastbullets.com or ??? I read a lot of round balls get shot but many bullets?
Jim.
😀 😀 😀 My 909S arrived today,and man o man i,m i happy ,its beautifull,and i ordered a foster adapter from Leroy today also.
That is another criteria to figuring out what diameter slug to use; the shot count. I have increased the number of full-power shots over 60% by using a slug that is a couple thousandths different than another.
I have the double tube version. If my memeory serves me correctly, mine goes from 3100psi to about 2500psi with five shots of 150 grainers using the ideal diameter. A couple thousandths off will result in only three shots. I’ll double check when I can.
After you fill 909S to 2,700 psi and shoot ,say, 5 shots, what is remaining psi in gun tube ,trying to figure how many fills on my 400 cu.ft. tank at bulk tank filled to 3,500 psi
Hey Paul,
Check your PM Box.

I just ordered the 909S and 170gr, bullets from Pyramid ,just 5 min. ago, should get it this Sat.,it comes with scope and plano case, mounts. 😀 😀
yeah a fill to 3800 psi, 30″ barrel, and a valve that could let out a shitload of air…only did one shot above 1100….let me see if i can find the chrony string…
So what numbers did you get? I’m always curious about 909 numbers. Also which version is it, the single tube or the double?
I don,t use rd.ball in M.L. no more, but when i did ,they were extremely accurate. Ok, ,some place only allow airrifle to be used for deer ,if loaded from muzzle,so would it make since to use a lubed patch in air big bore.
It would help air seal in bbl. and keep from distorting ball as it is pushed down bore from muzzle and keep fro distorting ball as it is fired. I bet there would be a FPS increase also. 😀
Butcher that was it took it out today got the real numbers. 😳 😳
no way a stock korean can do the same
Over 1100fps sounds like a world record! Anyone heard of a .45 pellet going any faster than that?
did get it over 1100 though….but thats with a much longer barrel than available on either DS or 909
no way a stock korean can do the same
Try keeping the muzzle about five feet away from the chrony.
The airblast behind the 909 will throw off the chrony’s sensors, giving false readings. That’s probably isn’t so much of a factor with the RX-2.
Even CygnusX’s mighty AirForce rifle tuned to 600fpe won’t throw a roundball 1192fps. I have yet to hear of any airgun putting them out that fast.
If you are already a good distance from the chrony, it might be the chrony.
The more I read about people’s chrony readings with their bigbores, the less confidence I have in the quality of chrony’s we are using.
What the hell just ran the 909 over the chronograph and this is what it read for five shots. 1-1192 2-1034 3-1002 4-968 5-998 used speer 457. the say that they should run around 143 grains but that are made to size not weight . Checked the chronograph with my r-x2 right where it should be. Not bitching just seams kind of high.
Sorry for the multiple post 😳

Those are very good prices. Deinitely worth checking out.
You will need to specify that you need them made out of virgin lead; and it says on their web page that they are not currently taking orders due to a lead shortage. The price may go up when they are made in the dead soft lead.
I like what I have gotten from this guy; be sure to specify “airgun” with your order.
