Ordering one of those you got CW…looking forward to sorting some pellets 😀

Jim.

CW that is fantastic news the scale is working so good!

Walter….YW

Thanks for the tip Adam, Got mine in teh mail yesterday. Bought two just in case 🙂
Weighed some 7.9 cheap Crosmans. Vary up and down .1 grains.
Nice to have a precise scale.
BTW the shipping was more than the two scales.
🙂
Walter….

Well, I’ve had it for four days now and weighed 1700
pellets so far and this thing kicks ass! Every pellet weighs
exactly the same every time and it weighs them very
quickly.

Pellet sorting has really tightened up my groups, hardly
any fliers. I would highly recommend this scale for anyone
looking to improve their groups. It looks and feels quality and
it is extemely accurate.

CW

That looks like a really good scale CW! goes down to .02 grains NICE!

Please let us know about it’s repeatability.

Jim.

After much searching I have decided on the
Jennings digital jewelry bench scale. I chose
this one because it has .02 grain resolution,
two big backlit displays, a bubble level and
leveling legs.

What scales have been repeatable? like weight some pellets into different groups and go back and weigh them again…does the Dillon weigh them all the same on the second time around?

.5g ? is that Grains? how does that work for sorting out pellets? I was thinking they needed to be .1 grains to be able to sort them out really well but maybe not?

I know here lately shooting the Crosman Premiers I’ve gotten some REALLY small pellets and I think weighing them would have avoided this?…once the little one is loaded I’ve got to shoot it unless it falls out 😕

Here’s a cool chart on some scales…looks like $80 is starting point for the highest accuracy ones. http://www.saveonscales.com/digital_scales_comparison.html

For the few shots I take hunting or if I am ever able to get into Field Target I’d like to have some prime sorted sniper ammo. 😆 from the “groups” I’ve been shooting I need ALL the help I can get!

Jim.

Bah, it says they are sold out.

You inspired me to order the Jennings 20.

The MyWeigh GemPro 50 seems to be the best bang for the buck for resolution and accuracy. 0.05 gr resolution is better than most. It doesn’t work for heavier stuff like Talon hammers (so I’ve found…) but for weighing pellets it rocks! I’ve had it for a year or so and it seems very repeatable.

Jim

Wow I got a carrot scale off EBAY but mine is questionable on repeatability…MAC1 uses the same scale I got less than $20 shipped and he checks his with some fancy high end scale and his was consistant. I don’t have one to calibrate mine against though it doesn’t always weigh the same pellet the same weight every time 😕

I have a Postal scale for larger items under a couple lbs but it won’t weigh pellets…I think it was $30 and I’m really happy with it.

How good are the Dillon scales?

Jim.
