My older SS has knurling on the tophat, was too make it easier to adjust I suppose. Then they decided it cost too much and/or changed makers and dropped it. I dont think Condor bottles ever had a knurled hat because as Gaylord says AF dont want them adjusting.

The best part is he is a human chronograph. He can tell by listening to the gun and does not even need objective proof from a chrony anymore to see how fast a pellet is traveling…..Ooooo, Awwwww….amazing 🙄

Uh, yeah sure, like we really are going to believe that AF is on the ball and tuning the the tophat for best power over a chrony on every rifle…

Hmm I wonder why mine was wasting 45% of the air I so laboriously pumped into it…? Must be the PW setting of ZERO letting too much air out of the freaking tank…

Let’s review, denial over the switched frames turns out they did in fact fuck up. Old Condor valve was ‘perfect’ and needed no changing and it was changed and replaced on many rifles…

Are these guys shooting the same guns we are, cause it certainly doesn’t sound like it!!!

I think BB is trying for a spot on the White House press team, all i’m hearing are lies, excuses and propaganda… 🙄

“Mission Accomplished” 😉

Yes indeed Tom political BSer of the highest proficiency!
man what a load compared to what really is going on and no acknowledgement for the sorting out of Airforce issues by the owners from the TOG days and now here at the TAG.
He has his ‘ead up sumwheres for sure.
Walter….

I have a newer SS and it is smooth…

I like the knurled finish but i’m not sure why it is so… 😕

Interesting perspective on top-hat adjustment. I’ve never seen a knurled one before.

I assumed most top hats were knurled, mine is as well and it’s not even a Condor, but a SS thats more than 3 years old.
