I had a friend here in Egypt who had this part proken and we have made it by a CNC machine locally in egypt

I located one . Thanks Brian and GKU

Peter checking this afternoon

I believe AOA would be your best bet Sir, but they may need to order it for ya.

Second would be TopGun Peter but he will probably need to order it also ?

I just emailed Ernest for his shipping info . So off she goes ! He doesn’t have part so I’m still trying to run one down . It absolutely NEVER occurred to me such a tiny thing could turn into such a mess . Man I was looking forward to shooting it soon a S weather breaks

Yes Sir a true royal pain in the ass to fix IMO one of or probably the worst thing that could break in a Cricket, when trigger adjusting and testing u need to be careful.

Even when cleaning the barrel I place the cocking lever downward off the edge of my work breach to hold it incase the trigger releases.
To be extra carful some even go the extra and remove the hammer spring.

I hold the cocking lever all the way open, holding it forward will increase the likelihood of breakage when the full force of the hammer hits it ……….. high tempered steal is like glass, it’s very brittle !

Looks like I’m gonna be sending it to Ernest , now I just gotta find a replacement part !! Man I frigging hate this shit !!! I was just adjusting trigger , wow . I must have not closed bolt all the way down first . This is a pain in the ass .

Sorry, not sure if there the same on both someone who know may chime in …………
I have only heard of one other owner here on TAG that had a broken his cocking plate, but he didn’t report back with his resolution.

I’ve heard it’s hard to remove but in your case it must have been easy because the hammer engagement portion broke off.
But to reinstall it you most likely need to remove the long pin in the receiver and or both to get it back inside.

Edited:
I found it , well it was his friends Cricket.

No GKU I’m gonna try and contact some dealers today . If any of you guys have fixed something like this before I’d really appreciate the help . PS does anyone know if cocking plate is same with bullpup and Carbine ? Or are they different?

Hey Joe,

In the meantime I’d try and fix it by maybe drilling and tapping a hole and installing a bolt to take the place of the piece that broke off.
I’d install it a little over board and tread lock it in place and grind it down to it’s original location.

Did you try and contact AOA, I recently purchased 4 Cricket valve stems from them.
