Q:

Brass insert and stem

Hello again.
Just finished the brass insert and stem program i was on about earlier.

I didn’t go 7.94mm seat area as per the post reply but instead i under cut the seat to 9.5mm to get the air to the ports and retain a small enough area for easy opening.
Its still possible for it to be cut to the bigger diameter by a small alteration on the program.
It takes less than a minute to make now ive speeded the program up by shaving movments off the program.
Anyhoo. Back to the grindstone.
Later, Sean.

Well here we are again.
Nearly wasn’t tho’. The phase converter droped dead on me andav only just got it sorted.
Anyhoo, while ive been watching the converter i re did the program for these inserts.

Just remains to do a few shot strings with this and the other square chamberd insert side by side.
Also did a little program to make the thin stem brass bits with O rings in them.

Anyhoo. Soon as Baz does a comparison al be back. 😎
Later. Sean.

Keep us posted on it progress Sean! 😉

just to give a bit more access to the ports for the air.
Al probably make it taper down towards the ports to focus the the air pressure at the point where it enters the stem.
not sure if it will make a differance or not but nowt ventured, nowt gained.

Nice work!
But why the mini decompression chamber and entailing turbulence?
