Bottle Collar and heavy hammer spring

Now they use 2 set screws to hold the collar in which should help. I had a bit of elongation on my SS’ bottle collar and as far as I know it was only ever used with the stock spring.
I was just talking via email with JJ Stealth and he got a used Talon with a bad bottle collar like the one shown. He’s making a lip on the collar which should fix it and prevent future issues. Good idea for those that cant/wont just make their own super size frames.
That’s why I made the collar in my ring on the .266.

I wonder how old is the collar in that picture?
Thesedays the collar is hardened (atleast mine is) and that simply shouldn’t be possible anymore.
