Q:

Blowgun barrel in airforce gun

Is there anyone here who could modify a .4 blowgun barrel to fit in an talon? Breech and hammer too. I thought that in addition to shooting blowgun darts, it might be possible to shoot .410 slugs.

Y_ no I made my own setup for my scratchbuilt ‘Condor’ as it is a natural for these kind of attachments. Same Airrow system so figured it proper to use the same moniker. 🙂

I wonder if swivelmachine feels the same way?….lol

$1699…. I think I’ll just stick to my bow…. less noise and doesnt make me feel like I got mugged.

JamesShaw, that was my Airrow gun you are remembering.
I used 5/16″ brass tubing in a single bushing and the 2215 arrows fit real nice. Get two 16″ Airrows out of each one. Fletching lays inside the tube real fine.
Was shooting 345 grain airrows at 350 fps last time i had her together.
2″ group at 25 yards

On the arrow gun you use a small tube that the arrow shaft actually slides over. There is still space for the fletchings to the frame where you could use some REALLY small fletchings since the arrow is not going need hardy any stabalizing at all out of a Talon/Condor. Even if the fletchings bent a little against the frame it wouldn’t matter. One of the things I remember reading was not to make the inner tube the arrow slides on too tight a fit…this is yet another project that ought to be really neat if not particularly useful other than for fun.

Blowgun just use the standard darts but I think your question was about the arrow gun. It would be freaking WAY nasty.

Jim.

Fletching = feathers on the arrow? They replace them with blow dart type material.

How do they handle the fletching?

Suprized no one answered this… pretty simple setup, make bushings, breach slide and new tophat and your going to have one NASTY blow gun. A couple people set these up to shoot arrows and were shooting some INSANE speeds and incredibly accurate to boot. I setup a 9mm barrel like this, took a couple hours making it the first time but it wasn’t hard to do since i just made a new tophat 8)

If no one hooks you up and your still interested in MAYBE January but more likely Feb get with me and I’ll make it up for you.

Jim.
