Discovery 22 with Pump

Dual Fuel Compressed Air / CO2 Air Rifle

Trouble-free, highly accurate. Once it is filled, there is no pumping and no worry about the outdoor temperature. Just shoot until the gun needs to be refilled. The Discovery’s 2000 psi fill level means almost anyone old enough to shoot this rifle will also be able to fill it from the hand pump that comes in the package.

Duel Fuel – An inexpensive CO2 adapter converts this rifle from compressed air to CO2 operation which makes it easy to fill from a standard paintball tank, offering more shots from a single fill. CO2 is excellent for indoor use or for outdoor casual plinking.

Get into precharged guns at an unheard-of price and also get the accuracy of an expensive European target rifle!

Benjamin has bridged the gap and taken the pain out of PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. guns. Not only is this as low a price as you’ll ever find on a PCP/hand pump combo, but it’s so easy to pump up that a wispy teenager could do it!

The Discovery has raised the bar for PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. guns because it uses only 2000 psiPounds per square inch. An expression of pressure. of air. While the European companies race toward higher and higher air pressures, Benjamin is going the opposite direction and making it easier than ever to use a hand pump. If you want to use a scubaA diver’s air tank that is used to fill a precharged airgun. tank or carbon fiber tank, you can do that, too. The Discovery gives you a choice!

The gun comes with a magnificent walnut stock made especially for it. It also has Williams fiber optic front and rear sights and a built-in air pressure gauge. Included in the package is a hand pump that’s easy to use and very clear on showing you when you’ve reached maximum operating pressure.

When you open your box, you’ll see easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand instructions that’ll lead you step-by-step. If you’re an experienced PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. user, you’ll soon see that the Discovery is the easiest PCPPrecharged pneumatic. A gun that is filled from a separate air source. you’ve ever used. If you’re new to PCPs, you’ll become a pro in just a few short steps.

If you want to switch to CO2, that’s easy to do. There’s a special tool that lets you quickly and safely exhaust all the high-pressure air (or you can just shoot the air out). Attach the optional CO2The scientific notation for carbon dioxide. adapter (separate purchase), connect it to a paintball CO2The scientific notation for carbon dioxide. tank and fill ‘er up! Now, commence to shootin’!

With high-pressure air, you’ll get about 35 powerful shots before you need to pump up again. On CO2, you’ll get a lot more.

The Discovery is manufactured and built in the U.S.

As always Adam has got something with a nice butt…

There ya go! That’s way better than a 2×4 stocked Discovery. Keep’em comming.

Here you go….

Ya Adam, but where is the side-splitting, funny as hell, gee I wish I thought of that picture that you are famous for? Enquiring minds want to know!!!

quote SteveinLA:

I’m surprised that Adam hasn’t posted a picture of a Discovery with a 2×4 stock. 😀

Actually I think it will be a fun gun and worth every penny. I think with a little trigger up grade and if you get a good barrel it will be good to go. I have done some amazing shooting with my crosman barrels that rival much better guns.

Folks are going to have a lot of fun modifying them. Soon the trigger modifications will come as well as new barrel bands and shrouds.

I’m surprised that Adam hasn’t posted a picture of a Discovery with a 2×4 stock. 😀

hey Rob,,,,glad to see your getting yours first…Crosman made a mistake on the e-mail they sent me…i’m still on the waiting list…..Maybe that happened to me because I did’nt send you and offer on that 2289…LOL…

That was it, man! I called up Crosman and said “Hey, why dont we F with J3! ” haha… Hope you like the Pine 2×4 stock that will come with your Discovery! 😆

Seems as though a few folks got the email today that their gun had shipped. I’d reckon you’ll be getting one (again) soon!

OK, so if they didn’t create a problem, then we wouldn’t have a chance to create a solution? Hmm. What’s wrong with this picture. 😀 I couldn’t resist the temptation to point that out.

But you are right, The Adams, Walters, Tonys, and Tims of the world would have to stick with Fords and Chevys if airguns were designed right to start with. I bet that they got tired of those years ago.

quote photo22:

Walter, so your saying that the Crosman Discovery is NOT compatible with scuba tank. And the Benji buddy bottle has to be used?

What I am saying is that the ‘official’ Crsoman position is absolutely correct for the Discovery. They cannot control the filling of the gun from a 4500 or 3000 psi tank. Absolutely the thing can be filled from anything with a Foster quick connect but the point that must be put forth as the position is Crosman’s. They are not jerking anyone around they are making the best effort they know of how to guarantee the gun is not overfilled.
There is chatter that surfaces about 2000…. well 2200….. 2500….. well forget it until the gun is designed for 2500
So I hope I have communicated what my thinking is on this subject.
It is a 2000psi gun and crosman is doing their best to keep it that way.
fair enuf.
Walter….

hey Rob,,,,glad to see your getting yours first…Crosman made a mistake on the e-mail they sent me…i’m still on the waiting list…..Maybe that happened to me because I did’nt send you and offer on that 2289…LOL…

haha…..I think it’s more a case of just dumb enough to want to try out every airgun that comes along…haha

The good news about Crosman choosing not to shroud their first iteration of the Discovery is that the modders will have a go at making accessories for them. We all would like to see products come out perfect from the factory, but then again, look at the Airforce guns. If they came 100% perfect from the factory, we wouldnt have guys like Anthony coming up with great things for our guns.

Same with the Crosman guns. With all the accessories about for them, they are literally the ‘Mr Potato Head’ of the airgun world and has given many home craftsmen a way to get some extra income while having fun.

I look forward to seeing what it will do. For my purposes, I’m not planning to do much to it as far as mods. Of course, thats subject to change once the goodies for this gun comes available!

Awesome Rob,
I think we should change your name to God, because you love them all. 😀 LOL

Seriously, I am pleased to hear that you have a copy on the way. I look forward to your evaluation. I was not entirely serious about the pressure regulator. I was trying to make the point that I am tired of having to spend more money on propreitary gismos. It seems like a big company like Crosman could give us the ability to use standard equipment, like a scuba tank, to charge the Discovery. The gun should also be quiet right off of the drawing board. It’s not like they dont know where we shoot, (inside garages, basements, down the hallway, backyard, frontyard, sideyard, attic, etc.).

Steve…

Current rumblings are that Crosman will have another version of the Discovery that will be shrouded in the near future to help with noise. You have to understand that the Discovery is geared toward newbies and as such, I can see why they wouldnt ‘recommend’ high volume tanks. Just be careful with your existing equipment and fill to the rec fill pressure and you should be fine.

I’m sure that not liking pressure regulators have little to do with it, but a regulated gun is going to up the cost significantly.

I really dont see a problem with seasoned PCP owners filling the gun. Hell, they even have a degassing tool to release pressure if one fills it too much.

I just (about 10 min ago!!!) got confirmation that my Discovery has shipped. I should have it in a few days and will be able to give more information on it.

OK, I’m confused. So Crosman engineers don’t want us to us larger volume, higher pressure cylinders that we already own to fill the Discovery, and it’s going to be loud? Hmm, what’s wrong with this picture? They don’t like pressure regulators? They are not willing to quiet them down? Maybe AirForce won’t loose that much busisness after all.

I like the Discovery, and the walnut stock really put the hook in me. Crosman has always been a pleasure to deal with, (at least for me). My 392 shoots like poison; what a great pellet rifle. BUT I feel like we are being jerked around by Crosman on this one. I guess that I am just too sophisticated and am not their target customer. Oh well.

Voltar your are correct for new user’s..It is alot safer to use a pump or the benji tank…But they can be filled via scuba and so can the benji buddy bottle…. The lower fill pressure is great for our scuba tanks that are at the 2500 psi area.. And crosman includes an overfill/ bleeding attachment… while they may not reccomend using a scuba tank..not to many people are going to over pump the little gun..Except those that are new to pcp and have the ” if 2000 psi is good then 2500 psi should be faster” way of thinking. and the Benji tank is regulated to I believe 2000 psi.. This is one of the small drawbacks to it being such an in-expensive gun..While it is great that Crosman has introduced something that alot more people can afford. I am sure we will have alot more pcp ignorant people buying them.. While in the past most pcp shooters would research highly on the guns we purchased because of the expense.. As for the modders,,it could’nt be better, I am sure that several unsafe rifles and pistols are out there in use and could go boom at any given moment, simply from lack of knowledge… Another question I have been mulling over in my head is . Pyramid Air is only offering the complet package. Do you think it is because a 250.00 dollar pcp may hurt the sales of more expensive guns or do they just not want to sell a cheap pcp?
