Adam, You explained it perfectly,i now understand. At first i couldn,t understand why at fill you would start out high ,then drop and then back up for a number of shot. I was picturing at fill for example 850 fps and every shot after, would just keep getting lower with each shot.Without your help i would still be thinking that, lol. Thanks once again.

Thats what i was looking for, don,t understand it yet,but maybe more will shed some light on it,lol. Thanks

Take those shot count numbers and plot them on a graph and you will see a pattern. It is one that looks like a hill aka bell curve.

If you fill your gun to 3000psi it might shoot at 850fps as you shoot the pressure will drop and the valve will open easier and the fps will increase lets say to 950fps. Then as you use up the remaining pressure the velocity drops down to 800fps…viola a “Bell Curve” can now be plotted on paper. Some people will use this to figure out what fill pressure to start at so they can start with the highest velocity instead of working up to it in the shot count.

Did I confuse you even more? 😛

Thanks again 😀

And the top hat adjustment lets you fine tune power and air consumption.
