Q:

Back Yard Sniper

http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd318/DragonFlySlayer/

This is some observing I like to do. The squirrel is pretty much safe here. I wouldn’t really bean him unless he was chewing up the line. I suppose he sharpens and cuts his teeth on somthing though. However the Rats are dead when I get the chance. I like popping them. I have killed at least 30 or more with a starting range of 17″ from tail to nose then they become smaller with each generation. So my Rat work has payed off since they are fewer than before.
But the Squirrel I actually like. I have a friend who welcomes me to his ranch and lets me shoot squirrels where they are needed to be shot. 😈 Then there are the Coyotes that are fun to take out with my Savage .17 cal HMR Rim fire.
I plan to have a Condor made and will try my luck with the .25 cal but for the back yard and much of the ranch work the Talon SS is superb.

This is my first time trying to upload photos on a website so I hope they come out here. 🙂

I like some of them for desk tops. I have a large squirrel feeder in the making and I like using the baby distress call and regular squirrel call to invoke different behavior among them when they are out for their early morning feed.
I find if I can make calls and cause one squirrel to take after another I find it quite funny. They are pretty strong for their size. The object is to stay out of site and make chatter and barks and I think sometimes they buy into it and think it is Chip or Dale! 😀
So here is Mr. California Red himself and a couple of other cool shots…

Cheers

Hell man we could even drink a cold one!

😛

well mate i best say u should come shooting with me as and tree rats i c get it with the exception to red one,s 😆

Oh yeah… Now don’t think I don’t have the desire to pull the trigger. But my equipment has to be right and I have to be set up right. And thats something I am working towards.
I think I need to ship my rifle to Anthony and have him go through it and make it perfect.

And I am going to build a cool squirrel feeder and observe them for fun and of course take more pictures.
But at night when the Rats move in guess what?… 😈

“One shot One kill”

But until then, you guys can pull the trigger for me, 😆

Nice job on the photos man! I’m tempted to pull the trigger for you 😆 😆

Now here is something for your Croshairs!! LOL
Speaking of Low Blows…. 😯

Well it is a Leapers Bug Buster TS. Just a simple 3X9 and the eye piece lens cover just happens to fit perfectly around the outside diameter of my Olympus C-700. they don’t make the C-700 now but one might find one on Ebay like I did. or experiment with your camera of choice. These shots were about 15 and maybe some of them 25 yards away.
So I worked with it and found that I need to get the range right on the scope for where I wish to target and the camera zoom plays a large roll here then I focus and hold still….
Presto!

All one has to do in my experience is get a fitting or some kind of adapter to hold the lens of the camera up to the scope lens and work the two items together until they produce desired results…

Wonder if Anthony can work some magic with that as an accessory piece and we can shoot our kils more way than one! 😉 Wouldn’t it be cool to have time laps video of direct hits?! Blow up the Dragon Fly!

Yeah…he is lucky I guess. Sometimes I feel like droping the hammer or should I say tapping the valve 😆

I hate Rats. When I was in 5th grade we had a very cool teacher who sold us kids rats and mice because he raised them. 50 cents more for a white one with pink eyes!
but these Rats are not like that of course. My Rat killing all started back in 97 when my wife and I bought this house and laying in bed one night we could hear little pitter patter running around on the roof and I soon learned that it was under the roof and in the attic! 😈

“It was on man”
Needless to say the trails from years before my time within this house are seldom used by Rats anymore.
they would come into the Garage and rip into the dog food bag and I bought a large plastic drum to store the dog food and they ate a hole into the bottom of it and so then I graduated to a steel can with a lid and they didn’t chew through that one 😉 .
I also like shooting Dragon Fly’s! 😉 Now thats my kind of Mini Sniping.
Fun mate! They remind me of WWI Biplanes crashing and smashing when my pellet whacks em!
ssssSSSSSSSWhack!!
Sometimes they will fly off and spyroll out fo control and crash land! Sometimes they just almost dissapear and all I can find are pieces of their wings. I like trying to shoot a dragon fly or bumble bee at about 15 meters to 40 meters when I can.

Nice to have you here !

Looks like a bit of a low blow if you had of taken the shot, lol.

Pic came out well, I’ve never had much luck with through the scope shots, let alone actually pointing at prey !

Nice picts. That is one lucky squirrel. I could not resist pulling the trigger. I love killing rats those sneeky bastards. 😆

In your photo bucket account if you want put picts here copy the IMG line and paste it like this….

You might want to resize the pict though
