Hi!

Makers lub pellets just because (pure lead) pellets oxide! A piece of lead will “rust” in a few years. A tin of pellets without protection would oxide in 3 or 4 years. Read it somewhere (BB’s blog? Don’t remember).

So… are the Kodiaks made of pure lead? If they are, they must have some kind of protection (oil, wax, graphite powder…).
Never used the Kodiaks! Here in Brazil the best pellets we can find are Gamo, but I’m about to order some Kodiaks and Premiers.

I think the amount of this lub transfered to the gun will not be enough to protect the bore from rusting… or to improve shooting.

Edit:
There are some pellets lubed to “improve shooting”, but I don’t know if they work. There are molly coated pellets, but never used them…

I think the Kodiak match are. Seem to be a film of oil in the bottom of the tin.

i heard that H&N who makes the pellet for beeman (kodiac=baracuda) anyhow i saw on one of the nordic forums that someone had gotten a tin of baracudas that seemed lubed….so maybe they are experimenting with it?
