AR inspired stock with some new bling. Ready for a friend.
What do you guys think added a recoil pad along with the ali round stock for bling factor and to match the ali flat stock on the inside of the skeletonized area. Its going on a Talon Tuned rig with some bling already so i thought it would complement Tony’s work a little more. also added some ali round stock to the foregrip it sits just above the surface about a 1/8″ or so. Adds a little extra to the grip and brings everything togethr as far as looks go. Let me know what you guys think. Last one is of the recoil pad and the ali round stock.

Friends, yes its a spray on bedliner, but it doesn’t look like that when sprayed on. I take a piece of cheap carpeting, like car interior carpeting and stipple it myself. Otherwise the spray on looks a bit to clumpy as its coming from a can vs. a gun which you could control the pattern with. Sponge, 3-m (scotch brite) pads work as well, but the cheap carpeting seems to give the best look to my eyes. Anything along those lines will create a more even finish. Straight from the can is a bit rough looking.
Sean, i too have ben lax on the shipping of you piece :oops:, been trying to get this one done so i can move on to the other stock and need that grip for a template of sorts. I’ve decided a tracing will work with some dims; as reference. I’ll get your grip out ASAP. Yes, i have a 18″ 😆 , mama wishes, but is old and has the delrin bushings. which only have one set screw per bushing and i need to drill and tap the other holes. Or do my best to turn a pair of shaft collars into a set of bushings 😆 9/16″ bore as of now, have a 5/8″ bit which is close to 16mm i will try to fab my own bushings. But the barrel is fine so far as i can tell and came from someone who would have taken good care of it. I expect it to shoot well and have good crown. Thanks for the offer. Now if you had said a shroud internal i’d have pissed my panties like a little girl 😳 .
Skybones, sorry about the cocking knob, blame Sean :wink:. And dam your eyes, didn’t think anyone would notice. As you have no doubt followed that thread i put in a heavy ass spring and 100g hammer and she gave, worse then what you see 😳 . I’ll do my best on re-shaping it, but am no jeweler, yet can have a soft paw when needed. I’ll keep it up, and you have something coming before winter is through my friend. Hope all is well with you, how are the Crosmans and are you doing any kind of work with them??
The wood flooring and the built in buffet behind the gun is my re-finishing work as well. The wood work i left destressed, just stripped and oiled/polyed. The flooring was completely refinished, sanded up to 220, oiled and varnathane applied in 3 coats. Was quite the project, but i like the results.

If it breaks! I’ll replace it! Please adjust it. I know you’ve been trying different (heavy) springs ,but thats Sterling Silver! You can bend it bunches ,without worry. I have a few Silver ones laying around still, the ones I use on my Condor are 18k yellow gold,a little harder. I’ve got the same Sterling ones as yours, on my SS ,for as long as you’ve had yours,but my SS is stock. No spring changes.
Hey Clint, Looking good! Do me a favor!,take some inside round pliers (or any pliers with leather over jaws) and bend that cocking knob back toward the tank. You heavy handed, brick laying, book typing,never satified,always questioning,constantly re-defining friend of mine. Do I need to send you a polish cloth? Keep on keepin on brotha’

Have you got a 18″ barrel ? If you get stuck i have a spare from a Webley Axor if that would help. Only 10mm OD though. I could fit bushes and machine up etc, etc, so’on and so’forth . I got it for nowt so i could let it go for the same price. I was gunna use it on me bullpup project but i got a new LW poly’ .25 .

Clint I’ve got a Chrome Cobalt one in the barn I’ll polish and send to you. You wont bend that with your hands. I’ll pm for your addy when I get it polished. Your doing great work with the wood my friend.
