Q:

Anthony266 Aluminum Bushings

Got a LONG tube from Tony this morning with a .25 barrel blank and some bushings for my 12″ barrel.

I have an older Talon SS so it has the delrin bushings – I HATE delrin bushings, they are undersized and rather beat up after being removed several dozen times over the years. Plus I did a half assed job venting them (with a hand drill 😯 ).

Set I got from Tony are very nice. All the holes are in the right place and the vent holes are very nicely done.

Maybe a little too shiny…. but I’ll live with it seems they are on the inside of the gun. Not that I’ll get to use them once I machine the .25 barrel 😈

Thanks Tony !

Two methods that will work well is— 1. Use a piece of 3/4″ pvc pipe to drive them off. 2. Use a piece of wood as stated, but cut a slot in the wood a little wider than the thickness of the barrel. Simply slip the barrel into the slot and tap the bushing off. eigher of these methods will prevent the cocking to one side of the bushing, which will cause a bind. Mike

Rubber mallet and a peice of wood just longer than the barrel. Hold wood next to barrel with one end against the bushing and hit the other end with mallet. Rotate barrel a bit and repeat.

The Michigan Militia salutes you sir!!!

How did you remove the delrin bushings. I want to change mine out, but havent yet tried to pull them off. Not sure how to do it without damaging the barrel.
