Q:

Airsoft sabot?

Well. I’m out of money, rapidly running out of ammo, and bored. Soooo, those little gears in my head started turning. I figured, hey, wouldn’t the condor make a cool airsoft gun? 😈

First, I tried one of my brothers broken gun’s barrel. I guess with some machining work it could be possible, but not anything I can do now.

So, I saw how the little airsoft things fit in the .25 barrel. Obviously, it is just slightly smaller than .25. Just slid right through, but not a big difference. So, I decided to put the bb in a little piece of paper towel. Very tight fit. I had to gently push it in with a little rod. I put the shroud on it (doing the testing in the house, no need to piss mom off) I made a target out of a cardboard box with a folded up rug thingy in it. I got a few feet away, pointed, and shot. It went snap, couldn’t hear anything but a high pitched whine, and there was a nice hole in the box. 🙂 It did something! I don’t know why it was so loud. I had the shroud on. What I’m wondering is if it broke the sound barrier. Tommorow, I’ll try and do some velocity and accuracy test.

And no, you guys don’t have to explain to me that a 1000fps airsoft bb would hurt. I’m not planning on shooting anybody with this. Unless I can crank the power down to acceptable levels….. 😆

Anyone ever tried anything like this, or do you all have enough money to always have ammo? 😛
