Q:

Airhog Pigmee tank

My 909S will be delivered Mar.25 and thinking about getting a pigmee tank.I will be using my big 400cu. ft. tanks at work ,but want a small tank for ,hunting, etc. Here is my problem, the local piantballshop who has the means of filling it to 4500 psi won,t fill it because ,it not paintball related.A local scuba shop can only fill to 3,600psi,because that is what scuba diver use .
So, my q is at 3,600 psi is it even worth the expence of spending $275+ for a CF tank that can only be filled to 3,600 . and how many refills can that pigmee give me after 5 shots then top off. Thanks ❓

“Not paint ball related?” That’s a first. If you have a legal tank (hydro test is current) and their charging you a fee to fill it, they should care less how you’re using it. Sounds like someone is on their moral soapbox by denying you the service. Keep in mind a CF tank has a limited life span, and then it’s a throw away item. SCUBA is good till it’s condemned by testing. Both require hydrostatic test/certification every five years or no one will fill them. As to the number of fills you will get, this is very subjective. It depends on the starting pressure, ending pressure, volume and temperature at that moment. Airhog did/does have a calculator on their site. But I can’t find it. You’re results will often differ from what the calc will give you. IMHO if you can’t take FULL advantage of a CF tank, don’t buy it
