ParticipantHi,
My 12 year old Airforce hand pump is giving me an issue. I get the pressure up to 50 BAR and I get really heavy resistance on the upstroke of the pump. I cant pump it past this point. When I hold my hand over the fill cap on the end of the hose it seems to be blowing out on both upstroke and downstroke. Any ideas what’s up?Thanks

First thing I would check is the inlet check valve and or it’s spring.
Clean out the excess lube in the inlet also, often times this is the place where a lot of lube ends up.If not you need to rebuild the pump when doing so the biggest mistake is using to much silicone lube.
A light coat is all you need, don’t put globs of it on ……. just a thin coat.
Keep your hands clean, grease free to help from getting into a frustrated build. Also there is a rubber ball that need cleaning with denatured alcohol and clean the inlets where it rests in also.
Don’t use lube on this ball, you don’t want a sticky ball ….. :rofl:Best rebuild video even if this guy has his ranting, just mute it.
O-ring Seal Kit:
