Q:

Air tanks

I’ve in and out of a couple of talon sites for 3 years or more. I have a couple of guns – 1 being a rws 34…which I’ve come to dislike over the years and I’m going to get a talon. Anyway, I have a couple of questions about refilling tanks. I’ve been see these tanks for paintball guns. They are 3000psi and sell for around $50.00. Would this work for refilling? Also, I’ve see these smaller tank used by firefighters. They are rated at 4500psi. I like the compact size of both of these tanks I’m just gathering info….Thanks for the help

These are the tanks we’re talking about. Scott Air-Pak brand, carbon fiber construction. Mine has an inservice date of 06/2001 giving this tank almost 7 years remaining on it’s life. Weighs I think 9 lbs and fills to 4500psi. Though it is only a 44 cu ft capacity tank, that gives you WAY, WAY more fills than any Scube tank will give and is many times lighter than a scuba tank as well.

Last time I checked Mac 1 , they were out of anything of decent size. Guess I missed them! They say on their site that they are going to be carrying the Air Hog tank. But then again so does Air hog. Pyramyd is also carrying the Air Hog now. Good price, not to mention the free shipping!

Check back. He get them from a fire extinguisher place that gets them in all the time

What tank does Mac1 have for FOR 100.?

I second Mac1 with his tanks. I just added a second tank to my collection and it was one of his. Can’t go wrong for a $100 bill.

I didn’t even think about that…see that’s why you’re here. cool I won’t waste the money.

It does not have much time left for it usable life. I think it is 15years? and since it was made in 95 not much time left

someone is selling used firefighter tanks that are good for 30 minutes of air for around $40.00….they look a bit scratched up but, have been tested.

That is a good deal. I got mine for a steal for $100 at Mac1 filled and hydrotested.

Welcome,

Filling from paintball tanks?….No, I wish I have several of them. Their regualted output is ranges from 400psi to about 850psi.

Fireman tanks are great and expensive. The tank can cost you a few hundred and the connections another $150.

Scuba is the most affordable way to start or a hand pump.
