A couple of upgrades for he Mini Mill
I don’t know who has a mini mill here but I thought I would post these additions in case someone was interested.
The mini mill has plastic gears and can break at the worst times. I added a belt drive modification which allows a larger range speed as well never having to deal with a broken gear again. These guys are great to deal with and very helpful.
While this machine has it limitations it will enable a homeshop machinist to make things they can not otherwise.

I’m liking the Mod! Those plastic gears blow big time. I’ve known quite a few Knife Makers that have night mares with them. Mine is belt drive, and have never had a moments trouble with it. Would love to have a lathe. Next purchace is probably going to be a “DRO”. It would make life a lot easier around here. My work has to be very tight in the fit and finish. Mike[

Aw man that is making me jealous. All you guys with lathes and mills at home, I wish I had that.
Everybody is doing such awesome things with them too.
I have to beg the machinist at work for time and help, LOL.

Holy crap that knife is gorgeous. 😯
Is it double bladed? I’ve always adored that kind of fighting knife. I own a cold steel OSS from back when they made them in their carbon v steel. I have held and played with a lot of knives, but there is nothing I like more than that very style.
