9MM Ammo? Where can i find cheap 9MM ammo???
I have two 357 magnum barrels, and want to adapt one to my talon. I have a bunch of 158 grain 38 special bullets, but it took a hammer to drive one through the barrel. Its way too tight for air to push it down the barrel. 9mm ammo is .355 inch diameter, insted of the .357 inch diameter bullet I slugged down the barrel. I still think 9mm hard cast pistol ammo will be too tight.
Pyramid Air has 9mm ammo, but it is very expensive. Is there a good alternative ammo that is reasonably priced??

The wife has a hot dinner for me when I come home from work, mows thee lawn, does laundry, keeps up the house, does the bills, washes the car, etc, etc, etc……………
I bring home the paycheck, and play with airguns.

AKULA, Dude you have quite a wife yourself!!!! I married the perfect wife for me 😀 she is REALLY understanding of me and my “hobbies”. I still have a year(s) worth of junk to do to the new house but I spend time with her and the kid and it all just works out. I have probably and equal amount of things to do with my airgun to do list as well as the house list 😆 and I havn’t touched the airgun list in 19 months 🙁 and it’s still another 3 months before I get home 🙁 My Dad is working on some stuff on the side for me setting up a Field Target gun for himself and he has my lathe and some other tooling to make some stuff up and test it out.
Can’t wait till next year though…

Gents and Jim (BlackOps) in particular; How do you get a wife to buy into your working on your personal projects (winter projects cited).
Jim, you and I were gone for a year or more from home (18 months for me…just this last time, other deployments before). I came home to a “honey do” list a year and a half long…and growing. I’d love to know the secret. Please do tell. AKULA
NICE Mark great minds think alike 😆 8)
I want to hear about these 9mm’s!!!!!!! Frigging LOVE those suckers and can’t wait to get mine going properly some day…after this class…next year 🙁 I’ll be REALLY happy though to hear some reports from you guys…power accuracy mods etc.
Jim.
Nuglor:
I got some of those .350 balls on the way — thanks!
Accuacry is good with them????
Also, cast up some 158 grain SOFT lead bullets, and sized to .352 inch. Slugged one down the bore, and it looks like they will work just fine.

Hay Blackops Thats exactly the barrel I got!!!
I’am building a pistol from scratch using this barrel — winter project
I got a 2″ diameter 22 cubic inch tank to go with it.
The barrel on top has not been cut yet. The barrel on the bottom has been cut to .562 inch diameter.

Hey Nuglor, I couldn’t find the link but I bought a couple of them as like 18 inch “blanks” and machined them to fit…I think a Career blank would be a lot better? but I got these for like $15/each? 9mm is scary looking 😈 and with a stock Condor valve I was able to get 120 ft lbs out of it with 60 grain Eun Jins.
Jim.
EDIT: Found the links…

Where can I get one of these 9mm barrels for my Condor?
Rob, cool I guess they work OK? there are frigging 1,000’s of those .25s in there 😆 isn’t it like 8lbs of buckshot? that is some really cheap shooting of they work OK?
I still have the bottle of 9mm ones then and Cedric was shooting them out of his Career Ultra 9mm with GREAT success as well as shooting .50 round balls out of his Dragon.
Oddly enough most people have found the round balls to be incredibly accurate. The 9mm barrel I have for the Talon is .355 and too small to get the .360 shot into…I need to get another barrel or a Career to try them out.
Oh yea a couple people tried stacking multiple(2 or 3) shots of the round balls at once making a “shotgun” kinda deal and they stayed really close for some distance. Didn’t Cygnus/Lasse try that with his .308?
Jim.
Jim… you sent me the .25 ones! Still shooting them…
Went .25 on the Condor, too! Just waiting for my upgraded valve from AF. 😈
Give these guys a try….they will make them in pure lead also. http://www.customcastbullets.com/
Here is a good place for round ball ammo…couple guys have used this in there Career’s http://shop2.mailordercentral.com/bpicart/prodinfo.asp?number=SBK30 you get I think a couple 1,000 for $42 CHEAP shooting and VERY accurate in most Career’s. I bought a bottle of these but I think I sent them to someone? Rob? or did I send you .25 caliber ones?
Jim.
Thanks guys!!
I built a .352 sizing die and resized my 158 grain 38 bullets. It still takes a hammer to slug them down the bore. Looks like the .350 balls and Pyramids ammo are my only choices.
Thanks!
Mark
Try Hornaday. They sell .350 round lead balls that work great in my 22xx9mm They are slightly smaller in diameter than the Eun Jin 9mm pellets that Pyramyd sells… and they’re cheaper. Here’s the link Ammo Link
00 buck… or maybe it’s 0 buck. Dont know off the top of my head, but one of those has been used as cheap 9mm fodder.
