909S help-fast

I just received my new 909S 2 hours ago,i mounted scope and ordered a foster adpter from Leroy, but in mean time ,i want to fill it tomorrow at work,.
Here the problem, i also ordered the little adapter for the probe but that is on back order so now i,m stuck with a probe and don,t know the thread type of this probe ,so i can connect it to a male foster. Does anyone know what the thread or fitting this is ,its alittle loose to be 1/8 pipe and help would be great. 🙁

I usually use an allen wrench, and push the ball/bullet in with it until it stops in the constricted part of the barrel, and before it clears it.

Roundball will sometimes pop thru if you are not careful. .457 roundball is more forgiving, and should provide a better seal as a result.

If the PM was sent to me, I didn’t get it.

I lubed o-rings with silicon base grease like ,diver grease ,and i move probe and hose around. After pressure gets to about 1800 ,it steady leaks out ,to fast to pump.

I sent you a PM but will ask here. Whats a good way to set ball in loading port ,to get it in rifling and at a consistant depth ,so each shot will be the same.

On my 909 it will leek out the probe receptor if it is screwed in to tight. I have also found that wiggling the probe while filling can help get it to seal.

Did you try to lube up the O-ring a little to help it expand?
The leaking issue is a common onel; I am getting one of Leroys foster fitting mods as well.

I got the probe adapter ,then went to fill gun, and the o-rings leak so bad,i just did get it to about 1800 psi and alot of sweat. The o-ring look fine ,just to small i think, does this happen to anybody else, and the probe part of gun screw all the way in or is there a 1/8 in gap, don,t want to tighten untill i here from someone about it. Thanks,Paul

This might be too late to help you tomorrow, but
the thread on my 909 probe is 1/8 BSP male.

If yours is the same you”ll need a BSP female to whatever–mine
is currently terminated with a 1/8 BSP female to 1/8 male Foster
QC. If you do happen to get your hands on a correctly-threaded
fitting, you’ll also need a Dowdy seal or the equivalent at
the BSP-to-BSP connection.

Also, IIRC BSP is 1/8-28 and of course straight, whereas
1/8 NPT is 1/8-27 and tapered.

Just make sure the person you are dealing with at the parts store doesn’t just start trying to screw on parts wind up wrecking your threads.

Have them use those thingy’s that measure the threads.

When I got my Career they did not mention anything about a special adapter. I then called them directly after making my order and asked the girl if I needed the adapter. She said yes and I told her that on all Career and sumatras it should be listed as a necessary item. But, I can see years later they are still not up to speed and getting customers mad as hell.

as per blackops above, I believe parts store is your best bet. sounds like you have a 1/8 bmp fitting. this is the metric version of our 1/8 npt.
Ask for a brake line adapter for these two thread types. If it’s going to be awhile to get the right fittings I possibly could make an adapter for you; let me know if I can help. Patience is hard when you have something new you can’t use because of someting like a little missing piece of brass.

You can take the fitting to a car parts store and should be able to put the pieces together…that is all they sent me some brass fittings to adapt all the stuff to other stuff…I have about 4-5 different brass pieces to charge my different guns. Also you prolly know to use teflon pipe tape to seal it…

Let us know how it works out!

Jim.
