Q:

53ci hpa tank

53ci Tank for my .257 build. Doug threaded it and made an adapter for me to get it off the frame some.
1st saw this tank on Cedric’s gun and liked it. As you can see in the pic a little bigger than a stock AF tank, but not too big.

Also trying to make a breech cover, already screwed the 1st one up. Did a new blank at the bottom there. Going to study this one a bit longer before I start cutting.

How much for a prepped tank ready for one of your valves doug? Also, how does a WOKbutt attach to the tank?

I have 2 now because one has knifemakers name on it.

This is Doug and they are 5/8-18 right now.

I cut the threads when I sell them in case someone might want it stock.

You have 3 tanks? How much? Are the unmodified or have they already been modified by doug? I just ordered one of his .257 valves. :8:

Threads have to be redone.

I have 3 of them right now with no one’s name on them.

After some searching, it is of course the Catalina 9098, sourced through the distributor Evergreen Midwest for a wee bit over $115. Comes with 5/8-18 threads which thankfully have a major dia smaller than the M18x1.5’s minor so putting the proper threads in is just a matter of cutting and not of putting back…:)
cheers,
Douglas

What tank is that, and where can they be acquired? What threads does it come with? I want one…lol should look good on a Marauder.
cheers,
Douglas

Thats gotta make for a better shot count Tad.

Knife,
Doug did a 1 1/2” extension between valve and bottle. A little extra LOP, but still shoulders nice.

What is the extension for that extends from the bottle to the valve Tad?

Finally figured out the problem with mine. It’s shooting fantastic now! More good Doug Majic!!! 😀 Looks like I need one of those bottles though. Shot count far too low on the stndard AF bottle. 😥

Bls,
Great job on the breech cover, also like the PW. I dont think Ive seen a knurled one before.

Also made a (partial) breech cover on my Talon, with some other improvements…

Would love to have one of those cylinders, though…congratulations!

Nice.

Now you know what I went thru. I got mine the first time but it took a few hours. I just kept putting it back in the mill and trimming it until it was right.

Going to sell it know though. Someone wants it real bad so I gave in
