Q:

.25 caliber barrel?

Can I drop a 24″ .25 caliber barrel in my
Condor without adding hammer weight and
a different spring?

Thanks BD! I didn’t realize that I could so easily chage the valves out. Sounds like a fun project. Set the gun up both ways, and do crony test. Sounds like a project for this spring! Can’t believe that I’m already thinking of changing the set up again. I’ve only had the .22×18″ a few weeks now. With the valve mod, and Kokiaks, it is doing a fine job! MIke

Mike if you were going to go with a .25 i’d consider buying the guts of a condor valve for the added power. I believe Randy hub did this and it costed around $40 for the brass top, tophat/stem, extra weight, return spring. You have a valve body already, all you need is the parts listed and you have a condor valve. Then you could hunt with the heavier lead Eun Jins and have the power to do it effectively.

If you stick with the Talon valve the condors added hammer it will hold the valve open just a bit longer giving you a little more power.

Hey DNC! Are you talking about the talon ss? And would there be an advantage to going to the condor weitht hammer in an ss? when going to .25 of course. thanks -Mike

yes. If you do it with an ss, you’ll get in the upper 700s with 31 grain kodidaks. Honestly though, the condor hammer weight is only like 10 bucks from airforce.

sure
