This is not about guns. But it is pretty interesting. I would like to ask you boys a question and see how many of you have some stories to tell about it!! I Was at the store today with my kids and I was checking out and I tried sliding my card through twice and both times it denied it. YANK Don't know why. But anyway, this lady that was standing behind me in line that I was talking to came up and said let me pay for it. I told her I couldn't ask her to do that and she said no please let me do this. My total was about $66 and she didn't even know me. It made me tear up and I couldn't thank her enough. She told me it was no problem but to PAY IT FORWARD and help someone else out. It was a nice experience I had today!! Guess it goes to show not everyone in the world are dicks. Guess u do have those few that are kind hearted!! Just wondering if you boys have any similar experiences with anything like that? Or have you done anything like that!! Guess it's true Angels are every where!! _________________ Life's like a dick, when It gets hard FUCK IT!

I was suppose to receive a tin of pellets from a forum member named "Shelby".
When the box came it weight about 20lbs. I opened it up and inside was this 1/4" thick steel plate airgun target of an owl. You shot out the eyes and reset by shooting it in the belly. He made it himself and it is super tough and I appreciated his kind gesture in sending it. I shoot it all the time _________________ Adam SoCal on the Yellow Forum.

I guess I'm one of the dicks. I would have said: Hey lady, you have to actually have some money in the bank to use your debit card. It's not a majic wand. Now, you're holding up the line so get the fuck out of the way. There's people behind you that know how to manage their money that would like pay and get out of here.
Just kidding. I'm sure yours was a computer error |

Hi Edswife, I am pleased to hear that you had that positive experience. Many of the members here on the TAG do stuff like that all the time. I got it on reliable account that Yellow Ninja has done some awesome things for others; the kind of selfless endeavours that truly set people apart. I guess that I can say the same for AKULA, Mamcrackin, Rob3dr, Cygnus X...I bet even old Walter has a kind streak in him too. Seriously, there are some great people here.
I carry a heavy tow rope on my boat to help stranded boaters back to the marina. They always say, "maybe I can help you some day", or try to give me money. I tell them to help the next stranded boater they come accross...pay it forward.
Hey WOK, post some pics of that owl target...that sounds cool.
Ya know, some people consider it bad form to speak of their good deeds. Some say that it dimenishes the good deed by "bragging" about it. There are those of the opinion that it will "jinx", or put a "hex" on themselves by blowing their own horn. So, there are probably many here who will not speak of their own good deeds, but they will likely regail us with tales of others selfless acts. After all, a person's actions truly tell us who they are more accurately than what they say about themselves. Just a thought. _________________ Steve

Holy cow. If someone had a $5 thing I may pay for it. I don't think I could bring myself to pay $60 for someone!
It is hard to believe sometimes, but there are some really good people. Unfortunately the bad seem to outweigh them by a whole lot. _________________
