Q:

What does a vented barrel bushing do ?

I’m looking to upgrade from .177 to .22. Just a 12″ barrel but want to know what a vented bushing does and how it does it. Silence is desired.Does it help and how?

And it keeps the bbl. cooler in sustained full auto fire. 😆

lol!

From what I’ve read and understand about venting the front bushing you also need to vent the chamber between the two bushings by drilling a small hole in the bottom rail. This allows the compressed air blowing into the chamber to escape.

The vents allow the air to expand back into the frame instead of out into the atmosphere.

This makes it a bit quieter

I have a TSS, 12 ” .22 cal., just put on one of GTBJay’s shroud devices on it..Man look here-if you want mouse fart quiet-this is the way to get it. Easy to install , looks like it came from the factory, and TRULY makes your gun faint whisper quiet.. BTW…GTBJ is a member here 🙂

Got it , just lazy earlier.
