Jäger air rifles?

Postby Leadbetter » Mon Dec 19, 2016 8:36 pm

I'm dead set on getting a .30 next and the jäger caught my attention. After hours of googling I've not found much info on these. R&L states they are a great option for advanced tuners (which I'm not).
Are these rifles as complicated to tune as say a raw? Is the accuracy there? I've seen two inche groups shot on YouTube at what appears to be 100 yards. That video was in Spanish so I couldn't understand. What's the shot count like? Do the two cross pins secure the stock to the action? Is special tools needed to remove the stock? Does the rifle come with a single shot tray? These are probably questions that could've been answered by R&L but I'd rather ask end users before calling them up because I know just buy the thing before being more informed.

What is considered accurate for a .30 cal at 100y? I shot four groups with my Cricket Compact .22 at 109y or something a while ago and they all averaged around 1,7" CTC

The bottom video pointed out the workings of the rifle pretty well even with the language barrier lol

My friend Troy has the Jager in .30 cal. With alittle tuning of the power adjuster, we slowed her down because shes pretty hot out the box. Shooting the 44.75 gr as high as 950 fps. Slowed her down to 880-890 fps and shes now retardly accurate at 150 yards. 1" spinners all day long. 220 bar fill, super light weight and around 16 shots in the sweet spot. Hope this helps.

He doesn't really have any complaints on the gun. Maybe the price of it, but it will hang with much higher priced guns out there. The barrels are not choke, so you can shoot light slugs out of it and still have speed and more fpe. Now that the mags are shipping with the rifles it's alot better. 16 ish shots per fill before it really starts dropping off on speed. 220-160 bar. I'm about to jump and buy one myself. The wood work is beautiful, it's super light for the size of the rifle. Balance is nice, not front heavy. Has a different sound than most air rifles you shoot.
