So it’s a “saddle” valve….big deal! Do you realize how much a large horse weighs? On the hoof, a Budweiser stallion can go 3K easily. Common sense should tell you a “saddle” valve is built for the big boys! You guys worry too much.

Besides, if I died tomorrow, there are a LOT of people who would swear I lived too long anyway!

Having been married 45 years, I no longer have any fear of hell, and I’m not afraid of death. Just for yuks this afternoon….I cracked that valve open with my teeth, and my steel tank was full at 3450 psi.

I found out two things fast…I didn’t know copper got that hot, that quick, (burned my lips!) and I didn’t realize those valves are meant to expand under pressure. Apparently they are designed to do that, as it stayed “bulged” when I depressurized it. Kind of like a “pressure fitting”…needs that heat and pressure to expand and seal properly, I guess.

Any way it works like a champ, and you learn something new every day!!!
